Viking Games and Weaving Bracelets

National Museum, first floor
Sunday, March 2, from 2 PM to 4 PM, members of the Viking group Rimmugýgur will be at the museum in full attire to welcome guests attending the children's program.
They will lead games that both children and their accompanying adults can try their hand at. These are often clever challenge games, such as Raising the Horgemling or Jumping Over the Sheep’s Leg, as the games were later called. There will also be fun group activities to participate in.
For a break from the action, visitors can try their hand at braiding or weaving a band, which can, for example, be used as a friendship bracelet. It’s fun to see a beautiful band or ribbon take shape in colors of your own choosing. A craft group from Rimmugýgur will be there to assist and teach the techniques.
The program takes place on the ground floor of the museum, where there is also a café offering special deals for kids in honor of the event.
You are welcome to join in at any time between 2 PM and 4 PM for a fun-filled program with Rimmugýgur!
Free entry.
