Tuesday Cinema: Sveitin milli sanda

Tuesdays at noon, the National Museum hosts a variety of events, such as movie film screenings, guided tours and lectures.
Thuesdaymovie at The National Museum is a regular part of the series of events in collaboration with the National Film Archives. Regular film screenings of Icelandic films and clips are held at the museum’s lecture hall.
Film: Sveitin milli sanda by Ósvaldur Knudsen.
Ósvaldur is one of the most significant artists in Icelandic film history, and Sveitin milli sanda is an example of his unique ability to beautifully capture the remote settlement in the isolation of Öræfasveit in 1964.
The screening lasts 45 minutes.
A museum ticket is needed for entry to the event. Please note that an admission ticket is equivalent to an annual pass to the museum.
